The Nigeria International Humanitarian Summit (NIHS) 2022 is the first of its kind In the Nigeria Humanitarian Industry and would be the Pioneer Summit birthing an annual National conference In this sector.
This year, Organized under the patronage of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development along with all its agencies and subsidiaries would be showcasing as well as celebrating the anniversary of its success journey since the Ministry’s inception 3 years ago.
This twin event is themed: “Saving Lives, Alleviating Poverty and Maintaining Human Dignity In The Face of Rising Humanitarian Crises” , and will take place from the 16th to 20th October, 2022. The PRE-OPENING TECHNICAL and PLENARY SESSIONS are scheduled for the 17th and 19th October respectively, while the GRAND OPENING CEREMONY/3RD YEAR ANNIVERSARY DINNER will take place on 18th October 2022 at the Presidential State House Banquet Hall.
This event would bring together key decision makers at the very highest and feature trending topics in the industry such as: “Inclusive humanitarian Response, Humanitarian Social Protection nexus and Current humanitarian response in the North East, North West and North central”, “Social Development Programmes for vulnerable groups, the ageing and disabled in Nigeria”, “Collaborative Response Actions to Insecurity in Nigeria”, “Building the National Social Register and the data base of IDPs and Host Communities”
More so, expect to be blown by the World-class Exhibition Arena at the NAF Conference Center and amazing innovations and initiatives to be unveiled at the opening ceremony to take place at the Presidential Villa.
